AL PORTESIN began in Porto Santa Margherita in 1987. Today, Sebastian Coman brings that same family tradition to Chafford Hundred, in Thurrock, Essex—authentic recipes, generous hospitality and uncompromising standards.

Head chef Massimo Sassu has devoted 47 years to Italian cooking. He is the chef from whom Sebastian honed his craft—and from 1 September, Massimo will cook at AL PORTESIN Chafford Hundred every day we open.
